Tierra Whack – “Gloria”
Dropping previous singles “Only Child” and “CLONES” last month, Philly rapper Tierra Whack returns with her latest offering, “Gloria.”
“Gloria is a song I made a while ago,” Whack told Zane Lowe recently on Beats 1. “Nick Varudo produced the beat. I just remember hearing this certain sound that he was playing. I’m like, ‘Yo, you just got to keep that going, keep that going.’ We added the base, and it’s kind of like more trap, but fun free. Sometimes I hear beats and I’m like, ‘It’s too mainstream. It’s too, I can’t connect.’ This beat, it felt so good. It was there, but it was also still here. It felt real.”
