Last year, news hit that Donald Glover, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Seth Rogen, Eric Andre & more would be starring in a live-action remake of Disney’s 1994-film, The Lion King.

During the NFL’s Thanksgiving primetime game, Disney unleashed the film’s official trailer. With James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa, the legendary actor also narrates the trailer’s opening scene where we see Rafiki debut a young Simba to the animals of the Pride Lands.

Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and directed Jon Favreau, Hans Zimmer has also returned to score live-action remake. The Lion King will star Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. Elton John will also be returning to tweak some of his original compositions.

The Lion King is scheduled to hit theaters July 19th, 2019.
