Silento, the Atlanta rapper responsible for the viral dance and hit 2015 single, “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” has been arrested for the murder of his cousin, Frederick Rooks, 34.

The announcement of his arrest was made by Georgia’s DeKalb County Police Department, Monday, Feb. 1. Silento, born Ricky Hawk, 23, was investigated for the murder of Rooks after he was found dead on Deep Shoals Circle, January 21. According to AJC, Rooks was found dead on the scene after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 3:30 a.m. in the Panthersville area. Eight shell casings were recovered at the scene.

Hawk is being held at the DeKalb county jail without bond and being charged with one count of murder, according to spokeswoman Michaela Vincent.

“I think it is connected to this house,” said  DeKalb police Lt. Rod Bryant at the time of the shooting. “We’re still doing a little bit more investigation. The people in the house know him, but he really don’t live there, so we’re trying to see what’s going on.”
