State of Texas vs. Yella Beezy: Defense Subpoenas Jail Call Logs & MO3 Case Records Ahead of Capital Murder Trial
The legal pressure continues to mount for Yella Beezy—real name Markies Conway—as his capital murder case inches closer to trial.
On May 28, a subpoena was issued to Securus Technologies, the company responsible for monitoring jail phone calls, ordering them to appear in Dallas County Court on June 12, 2025. Securus is expected to testify on behalf of the defense and provide requested evidence in connection with Beezy’s ongoing capital murder case. That same day, the court will also address multiple subpoenas for records from the Dallas Police Department and Lancaster Police Department—all part of Beezy’s defense strategy.
According to newly obtained court documents, Beezy’s attorneys are requesting full access to incident reports, arrest records, and prosecution files tied to the murder investigation of MO3, born Melvin Noble, as well as records connected to Theodore Thomas. The defense argues this material is directly relevant to Beezy’s upcoming trial, where he stands accused of orchestrating MO3’s death in a murder-for-hire plot.
This all comes after Beezy was denied a motion back in April to modify his house arrest terms, where he requested permission to attend his son’s football games. The court denied that request, keeping his movement restricted under the current bond terms.
Beezy was arrested on March 20, 2025, and indicted shortly after on capital murder for remuneration—a charge that carries the possibility of life without parole or the death penalty. Prosecutors allege Beezy paid Kewon Dontrell White to carry out the hit on MO3, who was shot and killed in broad daylight on I-35 in November 2020. White is currently serving a federal sentence and is also facing charges in MO3’s killing.
Now, Beezy’s legal team appears to be digging deeper into the MO3 investigation. One subpoena calls for the entire homicide case file related to Noble, including witness interviews, reports, transcripts, and cooperation agreements. Another requests information regarding confidential sources tied to that investigation—though the court notes all sensitive info will be redacted before submission.
It’s the latest twist in a case that’s already drawn massive attention. Beezy and MO3 had years of tension in the Dallas rap scene, dating back to the 2018 shooting death of comedian Roylee Pate, a close friend of MO3. Just days after Pate died from complications, Beezy himself was shot three times in a separate incident.
In a 2024 interview on Can I Vent?, Beezy was asked why he never addressed MO3’s death publicly. His response? “What was the point?”
With new developments pointing toward Trapboy Freddy—also rumored to be linked to the plot and still allegedly on the run—this case continues to expand beyond just one name.
Beezy’s next court appearance is set for June 20, 2025, for an Announcement Hearing, while the trial remains on schedule for June 12—though that could change depending on the results of the subpoenas and any pre-trial motions.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent
D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”
The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Three Members of Danity Kane Say Two Others Booked a June 20 Show Without Their Knowledge
Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.
A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”
The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.
The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”
Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
