UPDATE (10:00 PM): It was reported earlier today that following the shooting, Young Dolph had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. However, KTLA5 has just learned that Dolph is now in critical condition following his surgery, according to LAPD Officer Meghan Aguilar

UPDATE (9:30 PM): According to TMZ, fellow Memphis rapper Yo Gotti has been named as a person of interest in the shooting that targeted Young Dolph.

Law officials have stated that both rappers were staying at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood, California when their crews got into an argument. Soon after, shots had rung off outside of the hotel.

Original Story: Unfortunately, for the second time this year, Memphis’ own Young Dolph was shot today in Hollywood, California.

Just outside of Shoe Palace at an intersection, Dolph was shot at multiple times in a targeted drive-by. According to TMZ, the rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his injuries aren’t suspected to be life-threatening.

LAPD has also confirmed that two suspects were later apprehended and are now in custody.

Back in February, Young Dolph was involved in a shootout while out in North Carolina for CIAA weekend. Over 100 rounds were shot, however, Young Dolph left the scene without a scratch thanks to his bulletproof SUV. This later sparked his latest project, Bulletproof.

Yo Gotti’s artist, Black Youngsta was arrested in connection to the shooting in March and was charged with six counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property and one count of felony conspiracy. Following his court date in May, Youngsta was released on bond and continues to maintain his innocence and has since dropped a diss track towards Young Dolph titled, “Birthday.”

How you gonna go and shoot your own truck up and play dead for the night/ And then press charges on me and tell the police I did that (expletive). Now the feds say that I’m a menace……I’m innocent.
