Young M.A. Covers The FADER + ‘The Sex Issue’ Freestyle

24-year-old Brooklyn rapper Young M.A. is the latest artist to cover The FADER, but not just any issue, it’s The Sex Issue.

Young M.A. is rather open about her sexual encounters; especially in her smash single, “Ooouuu” where she spits, “Baby gave me head, that’s a low blow,/And she make me weak when she deep throat” and let’s not forget the infamous bar, “You call her Stephanie? I call her Headphanie.” Though these lines are what got her big break, her former management didn’t want the rapper to be openly gay in her lyrics. In her cover story, she explains:

“They didn’t really want me to talk about just being gay, so I would talk about liking girls and guys. I wasn’t feeling that… they was trying to basically put me in a box.”

Luckily, Young M.A. was able to be blessed with her current manager — a friend of her aunt’s — who she felt that she could be herself around.

Set to grace the cover of The FADER‘s upcoming sex issue, Brooklyn’s own Young M.A. laces the magazine publication with a quick freestyle where she opens up about her sexual encounters.
