Young Thug & Gunna Named In 56-Count Indictment

Rappers Young Thug and Gunna have been named in a 56-count indictment filed Monday, May 9, in Fulton County, Georgia.
According to WSBTV Reporter Michael Seiden, the 56-count indictment includes 28 other Young Slime Life (YSL) members on numerous charges including “murder, armed robbery, and participation in criminal street gang activity.”
Young Thug, born Jeffery Lamar Williams, has been taken into custody and is being held at Fulton County Jail. Williams is being charged with conspiracy to violate the racketeer-influenced and corrupt organizations act (RICO) and participation in criminal street gang activity, while Gunna, born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, is being charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.
Prosecutors have alleged that two associates of YSL, CHRISTIAN EPPINGER and ANTONIO SUMLIN, worked to get permission from Young Thug to allegedly make a 2nd attempt to murder YFN Lucci, while he’s jailed in Fulton County.
In March, it was reported that YFN Lucci was stabbed by another inmate while on a video call with someone from the outside. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Lucci stated that there was a bounty on his head and he would voluntarily go into 24-hour confinement as he feared his life.
YFN Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, has been in custody since 2021 after he was named in a 105-count indictment where he is charged with racketeering, violating the state’s anti-gang law, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
“The YFN studio located on West Peachtree Street in Atlanta is a central point for the group and a notorious stronghold. YFN has continued to attract additional associates as Bennett gained notoriety,” according to the indictment.

After being taken into custody, Thugger and Gunna were both denied bond the following morning and are to remain in Fulton County Jail until further notice. According to TMZ, Young Thug is being held in solitary confinement described as a “windowless cement compartment with only a bed and a toilet.” The outlet also reports that he has been given inedible food and isn’t allowed to have any human contact, exercise, or even shave.
Young Thug is being charged with conspiracy to violate the racketeer-influenced and corrupt organizations act (RICO) and participation in criminal street gang activity. However, following the raid on his home, the rapper has since been indicted on seven more felonies that include gun and drug possession charges.

Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, was taken into custody Tuesday (May 10) afternoon on one charge of Conspiracy to Violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), according to Atlanta news outlet, CBS46.
On Tuesday, Young Thug was arrested in his home in Buckhead following a raid after Fulton County Police filed a 56-count indictment against Thugger and 28 other members of Young Slime Life (YSL) with charges of murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, theft and possession of controlled substances and firearms.
“It does not matter what your notoriety is, what your fame is if you come to Fulton County Georgia and you commit crimes, and certainly if those crimes are in furtherance of street gangs that you are going to become a target and a focus of this district attorney’s office, and we are going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” said Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis.
Young Thug appeared in court Tuesday morning in front of Judge Rashida Oliver via Zoom and was formally read his charges. The 30-year-old is being charged with Conspiracy to Violate the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and Participation in Criminal Street Gang Activity.
According to the 88-page indictment, charges stem from incidents that occurred between January 2013 and April 2022, including the attempted murder of YFN Lucci.
