asap rocky under armour deal confirmed 001

Joining the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Stephen Curry, Cam Newton, and more, A$AP Rocky becomes the latest celebrity to form a partnership with the athletic brand, Under Armor.

Our relationship with Rocky is a first for Under Armour; he is one of the most influential style leaders working off field in the world today and we respect his pure creative expertise and passion for culture and community,” said Todd Montesano, SVP of Global Entertainment and Partnerships. “We believe Rocky will undoubtedly provide an impact across our business and it is our intent to empower him and his numerous talents to explore new product avenues. Furthering our unique and truly first-of-its-kind partnership together, we’ll prioritize giving back in disadvantaged communities, particularly with the youth of America.

With this new partnership, A$AP Rocky & UA will be creating a new line of products for the brand, but will mainly focus on philanthropic work in Baltimore, Los Angeles and New York – updating existing as well as launching new community centers in neighborhoods where students can go to express their creativity through art rather than hanging out in the streets being unproductive.

ASAP Rocky on the new collaboration:

“I wanted more than a collaboration partner. The only way to achieve this is with someone who is likeminded. The Under Armour team, and especially CEO and Founder Kevin Plank, has a shared vision, enthusiasm, and desire to do the same. I grew up in Harlem, and had limited resources to channel my inner-creativity, so I spent too much time on the streets when I should have been more productive. I now have the ability to create a better situation for today’s kids so they can go from school to a safe place to create without boundaries. Under Armour was the company that was most excited about my idea to turn sportswear products on their head while bettering kids’ lives.”

Congratulations Flacko!

Quavo has fired back at Chris Brown with a new diss track, “Over Hoes & B*tches,” following Brown’s earlier release of “Weakest Link” aimed at him. This exchange began when Brown dissed Quavo on his track “Freak” from the deluxe version of his latest album, “11:11.” Quavo countered with “Tender,” prompting Brown’s response.

The latest track premiered on DJ Akademiks‘ livestream on Monday, Apr. 22, with Quavo targeting Brown and his associates from OHB, Saweetie and more.

“Lil boy wanna die ’bout some coochie?/You still fucked up ’bout Karrueche?/You tried to beat up Teyana, but Usher wouldn’t let you do it/The cocaine got him your honor, bipolar disorder, no wonder/You was the greatest, n***a, you fumbled/Going out sad, I’m watching you crumble.” Quavo spits.

Chris Brown has since responded to the diss stating that he’s disappointed.
