Tsu Surf Pleads Guilty to RICO Conspiracy
Back in October 2022, Tsu Surf entered a not guilty plea after being arrested with several other men in connection to a federal racketeering case spanning over several years.
The 32-year old rapper was indicted on one count of racketeering conspiracy, one count of possession of firearms & ammunition by a convicted felon, and is being accused of being an active member of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips sect, the Silverbacc Gorillas (SBG).
On Friday, Apr. 28, federal authorities have announced that the DISPARU rapper, born Rahjon Cox, has changed his plea to guilty, admitting his role in a racketeering conspiracy and possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon.
According to a press release by the Department of Justice, Cox pleaded guilty via video conference on Thursday, April 27, to two counts of a superseding indictment charging him with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy and possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.
Tsu Surf faces up to 30 years in prison as the racketeering conspiracy count carries maximum sentence of 20 years in prison while the charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon is punishable by a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Both counts are also punishable by a fine of up to $250,000. Surf is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 12.
