JABBAWOCKEEZ X THE MOVEMENT SERIES

Published

For most of us, the Jabbawockeez, are reminiscent of the past Sacramento BBoy days, where kats met up in each others garages and practiced on linoleum before the next battle. But those days have past, whats more, the art of breaking, popping and dance have shown up and showed out gaining mass attention and official dance studio presence everywhere.

America’s Best Dance Crew became an instant hit in the early 2000’s. Dance crews came out in droves for their chance to battle on the stage to win a title and most importantly recognition on a national level. Becoming an industry professional dancer is not easy by any means, it takes training, perseverance, and a shit load of patience. That year, Season 1, the Jabbawockeez took the title and have not looked back since.

Let me give you a quick but thick run down of their achievements since winning the title:

Commercial Placements – Pepsi, Gatorade and Ford
Performances – NFL Super Bowl (Phil) alongside Bruno Mars as choreographer, NBA All Stars, Billboard Music Awards w/ Taylor Swift, Florida’s Gator Growl, New Kids on the Block Tour, America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13, cameo in Step Up 2 the Streets Movie and more than a hand full of daytime television performances just to name a few.

Las Vegas has been one of the biggest welcome wagoneers to the Jabbawockeez crew with a constant need to have their show gleaming on the strip. From the Monte Carlo to The Luxor and now at MGM Grand with their newest dance visual production JREAMS.

Verizon go90.com has collaborated with the crew to find the newest members to The Tribe. With an already astounding 60+ dancers on their payroll they are looking to expand their art to the highest level possible. With that, they have given us the chance to watch the life of choreography, team building, audition processes and what it takes to become a certified Jabbawockee.

Saweetie took to social media Tuesday morning that her ex-boyfriend Quavo reached out to her via direct messages, following his mention of her in his latest diss track aimed at Chris Brown, titled “Over Hoes & B-tches.”

In the song, Quavo raps, “I can take a model chick and make a Saweetie, n-gga,” which Saweetie didn’t take lightly. She shared a screenshot from January 2024, showing Quavo’s message on Instagram, which she hadn’t opened. The preview read, “Damn. We used to mean af to each…” Saweetie’s caption for the screenshot humorously suggested she hopes the model Quavo compares to her.

This exchange coincided with Saweetie attending a USC game with Chris Brown.

The history between Saweetie and Quavo dates back to their relationship from 2018 to 2021, which ended amid allegations of infidelity on Quavo’s part. Chris Brown didn’t hesitate to leverage their past relationship in his own diss track, “Weakest Link,” claiming to have been involved with Saweetie while she was still with Quavo.

“You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no fuck, lil n-gga/ ‘Cause I fucked yo’ ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m up, lil n-gga,” he rapped.

Quavo previously dated Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who filed for a restraining order against Brown after their breakup in 2017.
