50 Cent States He Isn’t On Speaking Terms with Lloyd Banks On New Track

With new films and TV shows in development, 50 Cent has always found himself returning back to the music scene.
Teasing an upcoming track titled, “Crazy” on Instagram, the record features a bar from the multiplatform rapper where he states that he hasn’t been talking to fellow G-unit member and hometown native, Lloyd Banks.
“Called my son twice, he ain’t picking up the phone / And Banks, we don’t even talk no more,” 50 Cent spits in the Instagram teaser.

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks have been in disagreements. Back in 2016, Lloyd Banks posted a photo with former G-Unit member, The Game. With 50 Cent having a longtime beef with the Compton rapper after leaving the label, he felt betrayed by the picture and commented on the Instagram post with the following: “What do you see when you look at this picture? I see confusion, I’m not sure if it’s just me, I’m a Cancer shit don’t get old with me,” 50 said about the photo at the time. “I never ask for trouble but I really don’t have a problem with it I’m different. The question isn’t how I feel about it, but how does ( Lodi Mac ) feel about it? Some shit is just better off left alone.”
Prior to that, Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent had stopped communicating for a while when Banks lost his father in ’06 followed by his departure from Interscope in 2009, stating that get wasn’t getting support from the label. In an interview with MTV, 50 Cent admits to being insensitive after the passing of Banks’ father.
“There was one point where you can even say I was a bit insensitive. [Banks’] father passed away and I was like, ‘All right, he passed away, but you can’t just go home and stay home.’ He went home and just stayed at the house. Ask Kanye, his mother passed away while his record was at a peak point. If he didn’t go on tour, he wouldn’t be the Kanye you know right now. He worked his way through that situation; the world doesn’t stop.”
“I’m not much older than [Banks], but I’ve been out since I was 12,” 50 Cent continues. “I’ve been hustlin’ since I was 12. Because his father used to hustle, I look at him like one of the homies. When one of my homies gets killed or they pass away, we don’t stop doin’ what we been doin’. We lost…Probably 5 or 6 people got killed while we been on the road prior to him actually behaving that way. We don’t stop what we’ve been doing. To me, it’s an excuse.”

May 17, 2024On Friday, May 17, CNN obtained footage showing Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend and Bad Boy artist, Cassie, at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
The surveillance footage, dating back to 2016, shows Diddy chasing Ventura, who was seen standing at a set of elevators, and proceed to grab and shove her to the ground. He then kicks her, and takes what appears to be her purse and suitcase from the floor. Diddy then drags her by her sweater towards a room. Ventura is later seen slowly getting up and collecting items from the floor.

Diddy returns moments later, sits on a chair, grabs an object off a table, and throws it at Ventura. He is then seen walking away, but turns back toward Ventura when an elevator door opens and someone exits.
Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told CNN: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
In November, Cassie, born Cassandra Ventura, initiated legal proceedings against Diddy, born Sean Combs, alleging years of control, rape, and prolonged physical abuse spanning over a decade. The two parties reached a settlement 24 hours later.

Akademiks, born Livingston Allen, has been sued for sexual assault, rape, and defamation.
The civil suit, filed by his ex-girlfriend Ziya Abashe in Essex County, NJ, on Monday, accuses Akademiks of rape and defamation. According to her attorney Tyrone Blackburn, the suit states that in July 2022, Akademiks invited Abashe to his house, where two of his male friends allegedly drugged her, got her drunk, and raped her.
The lawsuit further alleges that Abashe woke up naked in what she believed to be Mr. Allen’s bedroom around 4 a.m., where she was savagely attacked by Mr. Allen, who allegedly pulled her hair, pried open her legs, and brutally raped her.
Abashe claims to have seen video footage of the incident from surveillance cameras at the property. She also stated that Akademiks asked her to get tested afterward, saying he would do the same. The survivor reported taking a rape kit and making an audio recording of Akademiks discussing the act, as directed by the police.
“I look crazy right now but I’m not going to stand here and let this man continue to lie about me. That’s not what happened Akademiks, you know that’s not what happened,” she said during an Instagram Live in 2023.
Rolling Stone, who first reported the lawsuit, reached out to Akademiks who has not responded for comment.
