7981 Kal Releases Brand New Mixtape ‘1122’

July 21st signifies a significant turning point for 7981 Kal, a prominent member of HSM, as it marks 1122 days since his incarceration.

Alongside fellow HSM rappers G Fredo and Hamma Thang, Kal was among the 31 individuals arrested on June 22, 2020, in connection with the alleged street gang, NOB (Norton, Olney, and Barry streets in Dorchester, MA). The group faced charges ranging from racketeering conspiracy (RICO) to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. Subsequently, after a lengthy legal battle, all three artists were convicted on RICO conspiracy, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Kal received a sentence of 110 months (9 years) in prison, while G Fredo and Hamma Thang were sentenced to 108 and 114 months, respectively.

The project consists of 13 tracks, paying tribute to the exact number of days he has spent behind bars since his arrest.
