Cardi B, Instagram sensation turned Love & Hip Hop NY star finally released her mixtape, Gangsta Bitch Music Vol 1. Cardi who is no stranger to the entertainment life, decided to shoot her shot at a rap career starting with Shaggy’s “Boom Boom (Remix)” feat. Popcaan and then her own song, “Cheap Ass Weave.” The album has music produced by Swift on Demand, Shaft, James SwanQo, Sean Allen, Josh Xantus and BMC Beats, ranging from trap to more R&B inspired beats. The Intro used a clip from her interview with The Breakfast Club about how rapping has always been a dream of hers.
Here’s a quote from Queen Cardi herself about her music:
This mixtape signifies jumping out the window, taking a risk. The process has been amazing, but putting out my music for the world to hear is a super scary feeling, I just hope the world loves it as much as I do! I hope they listen to the words, and learn from the lessons and experiences I talk about in my music! I really hope they appreciate it! At the end of the I want young girls, and women to listen to the message! Its really simple, you can make it being yourself!

Kendrick Lamar Drops New Drake diss titled “6:16 in LA”
After dropping “Euphoria” earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar returns with his second Drake diss, “6:16 in LA.” Drawing from Drake’s signature style of titling tracks with time stamps in various cities, such as “5 am in Toronto” and “6 PM in New York,” Lamar’s latest diss track pays homage to the legendary Tupac Shakur, whose birthday falls on June 16th. This subtle nod to Tupac, on what would have been his 53rd birthday, finds Kendrick Lamar doubling down on his “hate” for Drake.
