Cassie Testifies About $20M Settlement, Threats Over Kid Cudi and Alleged Rape Ahead of Defense Cross
Cassie will return to the stand Thursday for cross-examination in the federal criminal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs, where she has testified in detail about alleged abuse, sexual coercion, and psychological manipulation during their relationship.
On Wednesday, the singer—born Casandra Ventura—told jurors she settled her 2023 civil lawsuit against Combs for $20 million, just one day after filing. The lawsuit, filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, accused Combs of rape, physical abuse, and coercive sexual encounters spanning a decade. Ventura said she initially offered Combs the rights to a book she had written about her experiences for $30 million. When his legal team did not take it seriously, she proceeded with the suit.
AUSA: How did you get chapters to Sean?

Ventura: Through my attorney. And I reached out to K.K. I asked her if he read it. She said it was not taken seriously.
AUSA: How much did you ask for the book?
Ventura: $30 million.
AUSA: Did you sue?
Ventura: Nov 2023
“I didn’t think he understood,” Ventura said during her testimony, led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson. “After all those years of begging for sorrys and for him to actually recognize the pain that he put me through, I just wanted him to understand.”
In her testimony, Ventura revisited an alleged 2011 incident involving Kid Cudi, born Scott Mescudi, who she was dating at the time. She said Combs became enraged after discovering an email about her staying at Cudi’s home. He allegedly threatened her with a wine opener, later warning he would release explicit videos and “hurt Scott and I.”
She said Combs kicked her in the back, leaving a visible bruise, and later vandalized her hotel room. “Someone peed all over the floor, pooped in the toilet and didn’t flush it,” she testified. Photos of her bruises were shown to the jury.
Ventura testified that after the incident, she flew to Connecticut and emailed her mother and an associate of Combs about his threats to release videos on Christmas. “Sean said he would be out of the country then,” she said.
She said she later reunited with Combs, and that he talked about having Cudi’s car blown up. “Sean said he wanted Scott’s friends to see Scott’s car blown up,” she testified. When asked by the government if she saw Cudi again, she said she ended the relationship out of fear. “It was too dangerous,” she told the jury.
Ventura also spoke about seeking trauma therapy and rehab in 2023. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore,” she said, describing suicidal ideation and a moment where she attempted to walk into traffic before her husband intervened. She and personal trainer Alex Fine married in 2019 and have two children.
In one of the most serious claims Wednesday, Ventura testified that Combs raped her in her Los Angeles home in 2018. “He came to my house and raped me on my living room floor,” she said. “His eyes were black. It was like taking something from you.”
AUSA: What happened next?

Ventura: Sean came to my house and raped me on my living room floor. His eyes were black. It was like taking something from you.
AUSA: You cried – what did Sean do?
Ventura: He continued and finished inside of me. Then he got up and left
When asked why she returned to see him after that, she replied, “We had been together 10 years.” She described a complex dynamic of dependency, fear, and emotional control.
The trial stems from a federal investigation that resulted in multiple charges against Combs, including sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty. Ventura is one of four accusers in the case, with three others expected to testify anonymously.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian provisionally denied a request for media access to the so-called “freak-off” footage expected to be shown to the jury, citing precedent from the Ghislaine Maxwell trial.
The trial continues Thursday with cross-examination by Combs’ legal team.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent
D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”
The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Three Members of Danity Kane Say Two Others Booked a June 20 Show Without Their Knowledge
Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.
A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”
The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.
The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”
Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
