Titled ‘How Does It Feel,’ the Columbia Records/Parkwood Entertainment artist tapped on Chris Brown for the Hitmaka-produced track. Following the announcement, Chloe was met with backlash from fans on social media who condemned her working relationship with Chris Brown, which prompted the R&B singer to respond on Instagram Stories:
“If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old please kiss my whole entire a–,” Brown wrote in an Instagram Story, referring to the physical abuse towards then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009.
Chloe has been quiet about the backlash and instead dropped a teaser for the forthcoming visual.
Ahead of the record’s release, Brown wrote Chloe some words of encouragement:
“@chloebailey you are a beautiful soul… TAKE OVER THE WORLD SHAWTY and DONT LOOK BACK🙏🏽! YOU ARE A QUEEN! DONT LET NOBODY TELL YOU NO DIFFERENT! You followed your dreams and now the universe is fulfilling that manifestation.”
“How Does It Feel” samples Usher‘s Confessions’ LP-cut, “Throwback” featuring Jadakiss.
Chloe’s forthcoming debut album In Pieces drops March 31.
