Fans have been waiting quite awhile for the follow up release of 2012’s Mac & Cheese 3, however, French Montana has announced that the project is no more.

Back in August, Montana pushed back the release of his sophomore album, MC4, due to issues with sample clearances. Originally slated for an October 14 release, the Coke Boy spoke with Complex in an exclusive interview explaining that when recording the project, he treated it like recording a mixtape – not worrying about the samples used and the strict guidelines that came with it.

To make matters worse, store retailers such as Target were selling MC4 regardless of the LP’s pushback. In addition to Epic Records pushing back the project once more, Montana decided to scrap the whole album all together.

I just ain’t have the same feeling for it. Everybody had to replay sh-t, and do all this extra sh-t, so I wasn’t in the mood to put it together. All the music going to come out, you know what I’m saying, just packaged differently. Plus, the album got leaked.

Since MC4 is no longer being released, French Montana is preparing a new mixtape to hold fans over until his next album. The project is reportedly 70% done and will drop sometime this month.
