And the winner is … HOV

In less than a week, Jay-Z‘s 13th studio album 4:44 has officially gone platinum, according to the RIAA.

The Roc Nation CEO has gone platinum just off streams alone after releasing 4:44 exclusively on Tidal to Sprint customers only; and has made history being the only rapper to have 13 solo studio album awards go platinum, which is more than any other hip-hop artist in RIAA Gold & Platinum history.

Physical copies of 4:44 are set to drop this Friday (Jul. 7) and can now be streamed on Tidal for free without having being on Sprint’s network. Congratulations Jay-Z.
