Juelz Santana Indicted on Weapon Charges

Last month, Juelz Santana fled Newark Liberty International Airport after Transportation Security Administration agent discovered a .38-caliber derringer pistol and two live rounds in his luggage. Also discovering eight Oxycodone pills, a warrant was sought out for Santana’s arrest, in which he would later turn him in. Following his arraignment, the Dipset rapper has now been indicted after a grand jury ruled that there was probable cause to believe the Harlem native was attempting to smuggle the discovered pistol onto a flight.

Juelz Santana’s prior felony convictions played a part in his indictment as he was charged with one count of carrying a firearm on an aircraft and possessing a weapon as a previously convicted felon.

Santana is scheduled to stand before U.S. District Judge Stanley R. Chesler on May 10th for arraignment. Currently, out on $500,000 bond and under electronic monitoring and travel restrictions, the rapper is reportedly facing 20 years in prison if he is convicted.
