Keri Hilson Says She's Ready to Return to Music

Earlier this year, Keri Hilson unveiled an update during her appearance on the “Behind the Mask” podcast, sharing the completion of her long-awaited third studio album. This marks a significant musical endeavor for Hilson, as she hasn’t presented her fans with a full body of work since her 2010 sophomore album, “No Boys Allowed,” which boasted executive production by Timbaland and Polow da Don. Notable artists such as Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Kanye West, J. Cole, Nelly, and Timbaland himself contributed to the album, helping it debut and reach its peak at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, with an impressive 102,000 copies sold in its first week.

While the release date of her third studio album remains a well-kept secret, Keri Hilson recently graced the latest episode of the “R&B Money” podcast hosted by Tank and J. Valentine. During her appearance, she touched on the lengthy hiatus since her 2010 album “No Boys Allowed.”

Reflecting on this hiatus, she candidly shared, “It took a second; a lot of things happened that prevented it,” she said. “I blame it on one thing, but really it was years of a struggle. I fought through that, but I’m free, and I’m ready.”

Hilson also mentioned, “We’re starting to take meetings to figure out how we want to do this thing [and] where we want to do this thing.”
