Summer Walker Still Over It

Marking two years since the release of her debut album, ‘Over It,’ Summer Walker returns with her sophomore album, ‘Still Over It.’

With “Ex for a Reason” featuring JT of the City Girls as the lead single, Walker is the star of the show on the 20-track effort with features from  Pharrell, The Neptunes, Omarion, CiaraCardi B, and SZA. The project is nothing like the lead single and if you remember what we told you when the tracklist dropped, each record serves as a pivotal moment in Summer Walker’s life via the timeline listed per track.

“The wonders contained within Summer Walker’s hard drive are about to be set on the world. To start, there’s her fiery-fun collaboration with City Girls’ JT, “Ex for a Reason”—a winking warning shot at exes who can’t keep their distance and an ample teaser for Summer’s upcoming album Still Over It, which promises a document of her emotions as she was creating these songs,” Summer Walker tells Apple Music about the project.

Former City Girls member JT has released her debut solo mixtape, City Cinderella.

Supported by the previously released singles “No Bars,” “Sideways,” “Okay,” and the “Okay (Remix)” featuring Jeezy, the project features 17 tracks with additional contributions from DJ Khaled, Stunna Girl, and Clip.

City Cinderella serves as a follow-up to City Girls’ last studio album, Raw. The mixtape was also accompanied by a documentary showcasing JT’s process of creating the mixtape.

“People work on their albums for a year; albums are just different. So City Cinderella is not my first album, being that I made this project so damn fast,” the Miami rapper told PAPER. “I had to create this project throughout the tour and moving around, so I didn’t have time to really nurture and doctor it. This is just something that I’m putting out with my pure instincts.”
