Happy August! Took some time off from #MASSMondays for spiritual maintenance, but we’re back. It’s been quite the summer, as we continue to deal with the pandemic and cases start to rise again, but when in doubt, music heals. So without further ado, here are some new faces on MASS. Monday.

ShayBand$ – ‘Distant’

Shay Band$

The first lady of Shooterz Muzik, $hayBand$ recently dropped her first single on the label – a deep cut titled, “Distant.”

Directed by @VRTUPRESENTS, the multi-faceted artist spits about isolating herself from others and focusing on her bag before the visual switches over, changing the vibe quickly to more brass-backed trap record titled, “Famous.”

It’s clear that Shay Band$ is a threat that the city didn’t see coming.

Red Shaydez – ‘They Call Me Shaydez’

Releasing her album Feel The Aura last week, Red Shaydez teased fans with an animated visual to her LP-cut, “They Call Me Shaydez.” Only 70 seconds in length, the record serves as a reintroduction to those familiar with her (and the newcomers) on why her name is her name and the confidence she carries with it.

The Kid – ‘Yeah’ ft. Michael Christmas & Blanco Black

I had the pleasure of attending the virtual listening event for The Kid‘s forthcoming project, The Kid and Friends, and you wouldn’t believe how many people this producer has on the album. A hidden gem in the state, The Kid treats everyone to the first single off The Kid and Friends titled, “Yeah” featuring Michael Christmas and Blanco Black.

Fun Fact: He created the visual himself.

Let us know what you think!

Trottie Y Gizzle – Whole Lotta Pt. 1 Ft. Ricky Mazarati

Dropping “Free Smoke” just two weeks ago, Y Gizzle shows no signs of stopping. Revisiting his latest project Demon Time for the official video of his Ricky Mazarati-assisted track, “Whole Lotta Pt. 1,” the duo presents us with a sharp delivery and is surely bringing heat.

KT Cuatro, 8 Zipp & Side Street Capo – Trapp’D

Shooterz Muzik have never been the ones to produce lackluster content. After $hayBand$ dropped her first single, “Distant,” KT Cuatro, 8 Zipp & SideStreet Capo followed right behind with the official video to their single, “Trapp’D.” Set to appear on their forthcoming compilation, More Than Muzik Vol. 1, their latest effort features the collective’s signature gritty sound and serves as a reminder to the opps that they’re always around if you’re trying to find them. #FREEKT
