Meek Mill Is Granted An Appeal Hearing

It’s been a tough road for Philadelphia rapper, Meek Mill, who is currently serving jail time for allegedly violating his probation. Following his jail sentencing, it was unveiled that Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, who presided over his case, had her own personal vendetta against the rapper as she requested him to leave his Roc Nation’s management and sign with her friend, as well as recording a rendition of Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee,” where she would receive a shout out, is currently being investigated by the FBI after being found to have acted improperly.

According to FOX29, Meek Mill may finally be reaching the light at the end of the tunnel as he has just been granted an appeal. Unrelated to the recent investigation of Brinkley , sources say that the appeal hearing that is schedule for April 6th, will serve as an opportunity to overturn his 2007 conviction after the Philadelphia DA’s office discovered that there may have been crooked law enforcement on his case.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported earlier today that the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office kept a secret list of police officers known to have a “history of lying, racial bias, or brutality, in a move to block them from testifying in court.”

Though the list is not public, retired police officer Reginald V. Graham, who in 2007 arrested the rapper Meek Mill and testified against him in court, is now being accused of lying under oath.

Meek Mill’s new court date is set for Monday, April 16.
