Sacramento-based rapper Mozzy found himself in legal trouble over the weekend after a shootout took place at an afterparty in Wichita, Kansas. The incident, which occurred at City Nightz nightclub, resulted in seven individuals sustaining injuries.

TMZ obtained footage of the arrest, revealing that CMG artist was taken into custody during a traffic stop shortly after the incident unfolded.

During a press conference on Sunday morning, Wichita Police Department Chief Joe Sullivan stated, “We will conduct a thorough investigation to determine how firearms were brought into the club and identify those responsible.”

This recent incident comes just two months after Mozzy’s early release from prison, following a federal gun case. The 36-year-old rapper had served a 10-month sentence and paid a fine of $55,000 after surrendering himself to federal authorities in 2022.

The legal troubles stemmed from a traffic stop incident in Culver City, California, in January 2022. Upon searching Mozzy’s vehicle, law enforcement discovered a Glock 26 handgun loaded with 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, as well as a small quantity of marijuana. These findings led to his arrest, followed by his release on bail after posting $35,000.
