On Monday (Aug, 12) afternoon, Nicki Minaj returned with a new episode of her Beats1 show, Queen Radio for its one-year anniversary, along with it being the one-year anniversary since the release of her fourth studio album, Queen.

However, this shifted rather quickly with the rapper brought on The Joe Budden Podcast to clear up some comments and point of views the guys had about the “Megatron” rapper.

During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Joe Budden stated that he had reason to believe that Minaj hopping on Instagram Live with Megan Thee Stallion was calculated in order to promote their new record, “Hot Girl Summer.” However, Minaj stated their relationship and collaboration was organic and not calculated at all.

“What makes you think that that was a planned Live and that we already had a song done and that was wicked witch from the west Nicki planning stuff and being calculated and stuff?” asked Nicki.

“I think that you are more brand aware than that line leads to believe. I think you’ve carried yourself to be more conscious of not only your stardom, but your impact on other people’s careers, especially new artists,” Budden responded. “So to see that and for it to come off as organic as y’all would have us believe, then y’all went into telling us how organic it was and that is Music Industry 101 for me.”

Minaj began to explain how the record between her and Megan came out. “By the time we got off Live, it had to be like 2 o’clock in the morning. When I heard the song, I loved the song and I just wrote the song right then and there. That’s exactly what happened.”

However, Budden started to questioned Minaj on how the video shoot came about and soon Minaj turned her energy to Budden’s comments on “Everyday Struggle” regarding her collaboration with Cardi B on “MotorSport.”

Budden believed that Minaj did not know Cardi B was on the Migos record and Minaj played the clip to prove a point.

“Ya’ll went and told the world, ‘Nicki Minaj is lying,’” she said. “You said I didn’t know another bitch was on the song and then I got mad. But I’m the all-powerful queen bee, right? You really think someone could put a song out with Onika Tanya Maraj and I don’t know who the who on the song?”

Tension began to grow as Budden questioned Minaj whether or not she was taking shots at Cardi B.

“You not gon’ change the subject. I’m asking you a fucking question. You used to dealing with stupid people, you’re not gonna outsmart me, sweetheart. I said I knew the bitch was on the song, you said she didn’t know she was on the song.”

Budden also mentioned of Minaj ‘s alleged drug use in the past, in which he pointed out that she stated in her music. However, this resulted in Budden getting his mic pulled.

“Your entire last album did that. Your past is littered with it. Who gives a fuck what she popped? But don’t sit here and say you ain’t popped a fucking pill,” said Budden.

“I never said that you dumb fuck. Are you that fucking dumb? You ain’t hear what the fuck I said,” she said.

“Cut his fucking mic since he wanna be fucking dumb. Now you wanna be fucking dumb. Stupid ass. Fuck is wrong with you? Play it back. Did I say that?” she continued.

Minaj stated that she had hoped that the two would come to an understanding when she had initially invited him to come on the show.

“He’s so used to thinking he’s the smartest person in the fucking room. And not allowing people to speak and then when you find that you’re wrong about some shit, not saying, ‘Damn. I was wrong. Maybe I did the most. Maybe I did say things about you that were proven wrong.’ Forget drugs, I just gave you two examples where you said something that was not true about me and you still riding with it.”
