Congratulations are in order for Nicki Minaj, as her highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Pink Friday 2,” has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart.

According to Billboard, the sequel to Nicki’s 2010 debut has garnered 228,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. This accomplishment now stands as Nicki Minaj’s third No. 1 album, a feat unparalleled by any other female rapper. Notably, the album’s first-week sales figures set a new standard, boasting the highest album equivalent units sold for a Hip Hop/R&B album by a woman in 2023, establishing Nicki as the leading female rapper in album sales for the entire decade.

Adding another layer to this historic achievement, “Pink Friday 2” has secured its place in the annals of music history by becoming the woman rapper with the highest vinyl album sales (25,000 vinyl copies sold) since data analytics firm Luminate initiated tracking in 1991.
