Normani Taps Into Her ‘Wild Side’ With Cardi B On New Single

Published

on

Earlier this week, Normani surprised fans with the cover art of her new single, “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B.

Appearing in Cardi’s “WAP” visual last summer, it was only right the Bronx native returned the favor. The visual is certainly Normani’s best one yet, with Aaliyah-inspired choreography as she samples the late singer’s 1996-single, “One In A Million.”

“This song and everything is amazing. I’m so proud of her,” said Cardi. “I’m so excited. You guys are going to see Normani in a different light.”

In a press release, it was revealed that Normani was in the studio practicing the choreography for three weeks before Cardi B heard the record.

“She really showed up for me and brought this record to life by simply doing what Cardi does best,” Normani said. “I love that woman down and I’m forever grateful.”

There is no word on a debut album from Normani, but “Wild Side” will definitely hold us over.
