The New York Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Travis Scott.

Born Jacques Bermon Webster II, the NYPD is accusing the Houston native of punching a sound engineer and caused $12,000 worth of damage early Wednesday morning.

The incident reportedly took place at Club Nebula in Midtown at approximately 3:25 a.m. EST. According to NBC News, the sound engineer reportedly  “was involved in a verbal dispute with” Travis Scott. The “verbal dispute” turned into a “physical dispute” where Scott allegedlly stuck the engineer with “a closed fist on the left side of the face.”

Scott is also accused of damaging a speaker and a video screen, accumulating approximately $12,000 worth of damage.

Scott’s lawyer Mitchell Schuster told TMZ that “this is clearly a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion,” adding, “we are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to resolve and set the record straight. We are confident our client will be cleared of any wrongdoing.”

Club Nebula’s managing partner Richie Romero also told TMZ, “This is blown completely out of proportion. It was a great night.”

The “Sicko Mode” rapper is scheduled to headline Rolling Loud L.A. this weekend at the Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood, Calif.
