Remy Ma has turned herself in to police for allegedly attacking “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star, Brittney Taylor, during a Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza, last month.

Taylor is accusing Remy Ma of punching her in the face backstage following a misunderstanding related to Remy Ma’s stepdaughter, Dejanae.

In a statement to ABC13, Taylor’s attorney, Sandford Rubenstein, said the following:

“This arrest demonstrates how serious this matter is. It is real life and not reality TV entertainment. The victim, Brittney Taylor, has confidence in our system of justice and will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”

Remy Ma is currently on parole for a 2007 attempted murder charge. Turning herself in to the 13th Precinct this afternoon, the rapper is facing a misdemeanor assault charge.

Taylor is requesting that police preserve all evidence of the alleged assault, including surveillance footage.
