With over 20 years in the game, Styles P has announced that he’s retiring.

The Yonkers native announced via Instagram on Tuesday that he stepping down as co-founder and owner of his Juices for Life franchise and retiring from his solo career mid 2023. “I say this with a deeper over standing of self and evaluating the status of my own mental health,” he wrote in an Instagram caption.

“I have noticed I have become less spiritually healthy than I used to be . I believe I have run myself down a tad bit over the past few years. Being a super hard working emcee and a health advocate.  I thought about it harder and came to the conclusion that I need to walk away from my solo career period ( I think I gave y’all enough ).”

Styles P says he will release two more albums as part of his solo career, however, he will still record features and remain an active member of The LOX.

Styles ended his statement with the following message:  “Never forget, the message is always bigger than the messenger!!! So if you know the way, spread it . That is all that counts!!”

Back in July, Styles P celebrated the 20th anniversary of his hit-single “Good Times” from his album, A Gangster and a Gentleman.
