In 2020, SZA teased her record “Shirt” on Instagram. Later becoming a viral sound on TikTok as part of a dance challenge, the first lady of TDE decided to feature the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced track at the end of her “Good Days” visual.

Since then, we haven’t heard anything about the record until earlier this month. While performing at Austin City Limits, SZA revealed that “Shirt” was supposed to drop earlier this month, however, there was a minor edit that she needed fixed in the forthcoming video.

“It didn’t come out because I looked at the video and I was stressed, one small thing in the video,” she said. “So, I fixed that and it is turned in and it is about to come out. That’s the truth.”

SZA has since took to Twitter an official trailer of the music video has revealed that the video will be dropping on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. Directed by Dave Meyers, the video stars actor LaKeith Stanfield.

“Shirt” will be SZA’s first visual release since “I Hate U,” which dropped in December 2021.
