Tekashi 6ix9ine Names Trippie Redd in Court Testimony
Published

Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has officially begun his testimony against Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, in front of federal prosecutors.
Ellison and Mack are alleged to have kidnapped 6ix9ine last summer. The two were indicted on multiple gang-related charges this past June.
Dressed in a blue prison suit, Hernandez began to tell the story of how he was recruited into the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, as he was being questing by attorney Michael Longyear.
However, during his testimony, Hernandez threw a stray at Ohio rapper Trippie Redd, naming him as once apart of a rival gang, according to Matthew Russell Lee, who is live-tweeting from the courtroom at Manhattan’s Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse.
“Trippie Redd was part of Five Nine Brims, Hernandez testifies,” writes Lee. Herndanez also named other former Niney Trey Gangsta Bloods in the former, also facing an indictment.
6ix9ine was arrested back in November 2018 on federal drug racketeering charges. He made the decision to flip “the day after we was taken down.”
It was when “Gummo” was played in the courtroom where prosecutors questioned the firearms in the visual, where 6ix9ine named Trippie Redd as a former gang member. “Gummo” was reportedly a diss track towards the Ohio native.
“Me and Trippie Redd were signed to the same label,” Hernandez explained. “There was a lot of jealousy involved.”
Following the “Gummo” video shoot is when he met Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, along with other Nine Trey members, who he named while the video played in the court room. “Shotti” was sentenced to 15 years in prison, on Sept. 6, 2019.
The charges are a result of a guilty plea related to two separated cases involving Hernandez, one count of firearm possession during a crime and one count of firearm discharge during a crime.
Hernandez then began to talk about the creation of “Kooda,” a record that included all gang-related terms, stemming from the Nine Trey Bloods and the creation of the slogan, “Treyway.”
“Treyway was more of a sophisticated way to name the gang—something that we could market,” said Hernandez.
After the success of “Kooda,” 6ix9ine was officially apart of the Nine Trey Bloods.
6ix9ine continued to talk about the Nine Trey Bloods from the handshake, down to the “prison lineup” (Nine Trey members behind bars) and “street lineup” (members who are not incarcerated).
He will continue his testimony on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, where he will go into details of his alleged kidnapping that took place July 2018.

May 17, 2024On Friday, May 17, CNN obtained footage showing Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend and Bad Boy artist, Cassie, at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
The surveillance footage, dating back to 2016, shows Diddy chasing Ventura, who was seen standing at a set of elevators, and proceed to grab and shove her to the ground. He then kicks her, and takes what appears to be her purse and suitcase from the floor. Diddy then drags her by her sweater towards a room. Ventura is later seen slowly getting up and collecting items from the floor.

Diddy returns moments later, sits on a chair, grabs an object off a table, and throws it at Ventura. He is then seen walking away, but turns back toward Ventura when an elevator door opens and someone exits.
Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told CNN: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
In November, Cassie, born Cassandra Ventura, initiated legal proceedings against Diddy, born Sean Combs, alleging years of control, rape, and prolonged physical abuse spanning over a decade. The two parties reached a settlement 24 hours later.

Akademiks, born Livingston Allen, has been sued for sexual assault, rape, and defamation.
The civil suit, filed by his ex-girlfriend Ziya Abashe in Essex County, NJ, on Monday, accuses Akademiks of rape and defamation. According to her attorney Tyrone Blackburn, the suit states that in July 2022, Akademiks invited Abashe to his house, where two of his male friends allegedly drugged her, got her drunk, and raped her.
The lawsuit further alleges that Abashe woke up naked in what she believed to be Mr. Allen’s bedroom around 4 a.m., where she was savagely attacked by Mr. Allen, who allegedly pulled her hair, pried open her legs, and brutally raped her.
Abashe claims to have seen video footage of the incident from surveillance cameras at the property. She also stated that Akademiks asked her to get tested afterward, saying he would do the same. The survivor reported taking a rape kit and making an audio recording of Akademiks discussing the act, as directed by the police.
“I look crazy right now but I’m not going to stand here and let this man continue to lie about me. That’s not what happened Akademiks, you know that’s not what happened,” she said during an Instagram Live in 2023.
Rolling Stone, who first reported the lawsuit, reached out to Akademiks who has not responded for comment.
