Tory Lanez Now Married Amid Serving His 10-Year Sentence

Newly released court documents have shed light on Tory Lanezs recent marriage to the mother of his first child. This revelation came to the forefront as part of his recent bail request.

On September 1st, reporter Meghann Cuniff took to X to share the surprising news, stating, “Tory Lanez’s relationship status has seen a rapid transformation from an engagement announcement at his sentencing hearing to a wedding announcement in his bail motion.” According to the documents, Lanez’s fiancée is now officially his wife.

In these disclosed legal papers, Lanez’s legal team outlined his plans should he be granted bail. The musician intends to establish his residence in Los Angeles alongside his new wife, Raina Chassagne, and their 6-year-old child. Allegedly, Chassagne and their child are planning to relocate from Florida to California, where the young one will attend school.

At present, Lanez is in the process of appealing a 10-year sentence for his involvement in the 2020 shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion. TMZ reports that he is currently confined to a segregated unit, with only two hours of daily cell time and a mere three hours of weekly outdoor access, all closely monitored by staff. These details have come to light as his bail motion, filed by the nonprofit organization Unite the People, awaits a hearing scheduled for September 5th.

A breakthrough has emerged in the long-standing mystery surrounding the 1996 drive-by shooting that claimed the life of the legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, also spelled 2Pac. The Associated Press has reported that a Nevada grand jury has formally indicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis, aged 60, in connection with the tragic event. This significant development was announced by prosecutors on Friday, September 29.

In a remarkable twist, Davis had long been on the radar of investigators due to his own admissions, both in numerous interviews and in his revealing 2019 memoir titled “Compton Street Legend.” In his memoir, he openly confessed to being present in the Cadillac from which the fatal shots were fired on September 7, 1996, leading to the untimely demise of Shakur. At the time of the incident, Shakur was 25 years old.

Notably, Reggie Wright Jr., who had served as the head of security for Death Row Records, raised suspicions last year regarding heightened activity surrounding the 2Pac murder case. He speculated that authorities were intensifying their efforts to solve the case and even remarked that “Keefe D [has] been having the runs for the last two weeks… because yeah, they are knocking on doors and there’s some activity.”

Adding another layer to the unfolding story, Las Vegas police executed a search warrant at a residence linked to Davis in mid-July. The warrant explicitly stated that they were searching for items related to the murder of Tupac Shakur. During the raid, authorities seized multiple computers, a cellphone, a hard drive, a Vibe magazine featuring Shakur, several .40-caliber bullets, two containers with photographs, and a copy of Davis’ memoir.

At the time of his tragic demise, Tupac Shakur had just released his fourth solo album, “All Eyez on Me.” This groundbreaking album continued to dominate the charts, selling an astounding 5 million copies and receiving six Grammy Award nominations.

The indictment of Duane “Keffe D” Davis marks a significant step forward in the quest for justice surrounding the murder of Tupac Shakur, a legendary figure in the world of hip-hop whose legacy continues to influence and inspire artists and fans worldwide.

A Los Angeles federal judge has ordered Nicki Minaj‘s husband, Kenneth Petty, to serve “up to” 120 days on home detention for “making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

The specific individual in question is Offset, Cardi B’s husband. Last week, Kenneth Petty and his entourage posted numerous videos on Instagram Stories in which they made threats against the former Migos rapper and expressed intentions to locate and harm him. Petty exclaimed, “You n**gas are nervous, man. You boys are p**sy for real. You b**ches are nervous.” He then posed the question, “What’s up, man? What’s going on? What are y’all trying to do?”

Further into the video, Petty continued, “We’re out here to talk, right? Let’s talk, but you know we ain’t talking, though. P**sy a n**ga, I don’t know who y’all think y’all are playing with.”

On the morning of September 16th, Offset took to his Instagram Story to publicly address the group of men, referring to them as “broke.” In his video, he said, “I am getting off the jet. What are these n**gas talking about?” He then concluded with, “These n**gas are broke. We’re hopping off jets, b**ch. These n**gas are standing outside.”

Meghann Cunnif, who posted the filing, stated that the probation officer and judge did not require an external report or complaint to take action in this matter. She also noted that Offset and Cardi B appeared unfazed by the threats, with Offset responding to the situation by laughing about it in a video as he disembarked from a jet. The rapper was en route to see Deion Sanders at a Colorado game.

Cardi B responded to the motion and Meghann Cunnif’s tweet on X (formerly Twitter) with the statement, “EXACTLY, KEEP ME AND MY MAN OUT OF Y’ALL F**KIN’ MOUTHS!!!”

Irish Grinstead, a member of the R&B girl group 702, passed away on Saturday, September 17, at the age of 43. The somber news was confirmed by her sister and fellow group member, LeMisha Grinstead, who shared a heartfelt statement on social media.

In her statement, LeMisha Grinstead expressed her profound sadness, saying, “It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that my beautiful sister and friend has passed away this evening. She has had a long battle and she is finally at peace. That girl was as bright as the stars! She was not only beautiful on the outside, but also within. Sharing the stage with her was a joy I will cherish for the rest of my life! We, the family ask for prayers and respect for our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family.”

Tragically, this marks the second loss of a sibling and former group member for LeMisha, as she had previously lost their sister, Orish Grinstead, in 2008 due to kidney failure.

702 burst onto the music scene in the early ’90s, becoming known for their hit singles such as “Where My Girls At,” “Get It Together,” and “Steelo,” the latter of which was remixed for the 2000s Nickelodeon show, Cousin Skeeter. Following the release of their 2003 album Star, the group disbanded but occasionally reunited.

In 2022, Irish took a hiatus from 702 for undisclosed health reasons.

Our condolences extend to the friends and family of Irish Grinstead during this difficult time.
