It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard anything music-related fromMarques Houston, but he’s undergone some life changes these last few years. The former Immature singer became a Jehovah’s Witness and married 21-year-old, Miya Houston, last March, and the couple now shares a baby girl.
Though the marriage caused some heads to turn sideways due to the drastic age difference, Miya told RollingOut that she was courted properly and her family approved of him: “First, it’s the courting, and how you get to know each other as a family,” Miyah explained. “So, he met all my siblings and my grandparents. He asked my grandmother for her permission to date me, and she said yes. Then he met my uncles and, of course, they had to drill him. Last, he asked me if we could date exclusively and I said yes.”
With Marques’ life is different from what fans remember, he’s turning back to his R&B roots with the release of his brand album titled, ‘Me.’ Serving as a follow-up to his 2013 project, ‘Famous,’ he took to Instagram the announcement of the surprise release.
