New Music: King Von – Don’t Play That (Featuring 21 Savage)
Last year, we tragically lost King Von after he was fatally shot outside a Hookha Lougue in Atlanta.
Since his unfortunate passing, fans wondered whether or not the Chicago rapper had any leftover music for an posthemous album release. Today, they can wonder no more. Only the Family Entertainment (OTF) and Empire announced Friday (Feb. 4) that Von’s upcoming posthumous album, What It Means to Be King, will be dropping March 4.
The first release from the forthcoming project is “Don’t Play That” featuring 21 Savage. Von previeved the record back in October on Instagram.
The record serves as King Von and 21 Savage’s first track together. After Von’s untimely passing, 21 Savage gifted Von’s sister Kayla with a Range Rover and 21 roses for her 21st birthday. When Kayla recieved backlash for the gift, 21 Savage responded.
“I never speak on stuff like this because I don’t do it for the Internet but y’all being disrespectful,” he tweeted. “I knew Kayla before I knew Von because she talks to my little brother. Von was already planning on purchasing the gift for her birthday and due to his untimely passing he wasn’t able to finish so all I did was finish what he started because I told Kayla when he passed I had her 4L and I meant it.”

Quavo Claps Back at Chris Brown with New Diss Track ‘Over Hoes & B*tches’; Chris Brown Responds
Quavo has fired back at Chris Brown with a new diss track, “Over Hoes & B*tches,” following Brown’s earlier release of “Weakest Link” aimed at him. This exchange began when Brown dissed Quavo on his track “Freak” from the deluxe version of his latest album, “11:11.” Quavo countered with “Tender,” prompting Brown’s response.
The latest track premiered on DJ Akademiks‘ livestream on Monday, Apr. 22, with Quavo targeting Brown and his associates from OHB, Saweetie and more.
“Lil boy wanna die ’bout some coochie?/You still fucked up ’bout Karrueche?/You tried to beat up Teyana, but Usher wouldn’t let you do it/The cocaine got him your honor, bipolar disorder, no wonder/You was the greatest, n***a, you fumbled/Going out sad, I’m watching you crumble.” Quavo spits.
Chris Brown has since responded to the diss stating that he’s disappointed.

Back in 2021, Drake and Kanye West had ended their longstanding feud to hold a benefit concert for Larry Hoover to “raise awareness of the need for prison and sentencing reform.” This relationship between the two artists turned sour during the feud between G.O.O.D. Music president, Pusha T and Drake. Drake accused Kanye of leaking the news that he had a son to Pusha T.
Drake later stated that he only did the concert as a favor for J. Prince.
