Bad Bunny is taking legal action against a fan, Eric Guillermo Madronal Garrone, for unauthorized recording and uploading of his concert on YouTube.

In the lawsuit, Bad Bunny alleges that Garrone attended his Feb. 21 concert in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of his Bad Bunny – Most Wanted Tour, and captured multiple videos of the live performance and shared them on his YouTube channel, MADforliveMUSIC, without obtaining consent.

Bad Bunny asserts his ownership of the rights to the live performance music, claiming that Garrone’s uploads not only garnered views but also generated ad revenue, thus detracting from Bad Bunny’s own YouTube page.

TMZ reports that Bad Bunny initially attempted to address the issue through standard takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), urging YouTube to remove Garrone’s videos. However, Garrone countered with a claim to restore the videos, prompting Bad Bunny to escalate the matter with a formal lawsuit.

Bad Bunny is seeking an injunction to prevent Garrone from posting additional footage. Additionally, he requests either a fixed $150,000 per video or compensation for actual damages resulting from the unauthorized recordings.
