Meek Mill Releases New Independent EP ‘HEATHENISM’ miixtapechiick

Meek Mill found himself at the center of discussions due to his involvement in a new lawsuit alongside Diddy, who is accused of sexual assault and harassment by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a contributor to Diddy’s latest album, The Love Album: Off the Grid.

In the lawsuit, Jones alleges that Diddy had sex with Meek Mill, among others. Despite Meek’s name being redacted, the footnotes reveal him as the Philadelphia rapper who was previously associated with Nicki Minaj.

After spending 48 hours defending himself on social media, Meek Mill has shifted his focus back to his music, unveiling a new EP named HEATHENISM. This independent release features five tracks, with collaborations with Fivio Foreign and Future.

Drake Says Free Tory Lanez Ahead of Appeal Hearing

Drake recently took to Instagram Stories to advocate for the freedom of fellow Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, as Lanez prepares for his appeal hearing. Lanez had been sentenced to 10 years in prison in December 2022.

In a straight forward message accompanied by a photo of Lanez, Drake wrote, “3 you.” Lanez had been convicted of assault with an automatic firearm, possession of an unregistered loaded firearm in a vehicle, and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Lanez penned a letter to his fans on Instagram, maintaining his innocence after receiving his sentence:

To The Umbrellas,

I have never let a hard time intimidate me. I will never never let no jail time eliminate me. Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will.

This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved. … That’s it.

In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do.

I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious.

Tough times don’t last, tough people do.

To my family, friends and umbrellas thank you for your continued support.

See you soon.
