Cardi B Hits No. 1 on Billboard with ‘Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)’
Since snagging the number two spot these past couple of weeks, fans and fellow hip-hop artists have been supporting Cardi B’s campaign to grab the number spot on Billboard for her latest single, “Bodak Yellow” and it looks like her dream has finally come true.
Today, Billboard officially announced that the Bronx native not only had the number song in the country but is the first female rapper to sit on the throne without any other billed acts since Lauryn Hill in 1998, and the first female soloist to top the Hot 100 with a debut track unaccompanied by another artist since Meghan Trainor in 2014.
