Recently becoming the first female rapper to sit on top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts without any other billed acts since Lauryn Hill in 1998, and the first female soloist to top the Hot 100 with a debut track unaccompanied by another artist since Meghan Trainor in 2014, Cardi B continues to win as she just inked a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

Spending three weeks on top of the Billboard Charts with her single, “Bodak Yellow,” Cardi B says the hit single is only the beginning and that she’s just getting started.

“Cardi B is honest, real and refreshing and has the confidence to say exactly what she is thinking and feeling,” said Sony/ATV senior director of A&R Jennifer Drake. “It’s tangible and you can connect to that. We are so proud to be able to work with a talented artist like Cardi and excited to see her push the culture forward.”

Cardi B was beaten by Post Malone’s “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage for the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. Nonetheless, Billboard reports that “Bodak Yellow” has sold nearly 500,000 digital downloads in the United States, and has been streamed more than 440 million times.
