Last August, Ceechynaa‘s track “Last Laugh” took the internet by storm, captivating audiences with its provocative lyrics and unabashed attitude. With lines like “I got 10 men on my line tryna charm me, and your daddy’s the biggest spender,” Ceechyna gained additional attention when the now 20-year-old artist threw shade at UK rapper OG Niki, responding to a comment made on Instagram: “I typed in your name on Google, the only thing that came up was Nicki Minaj,” she clapped back.

The song’s popularity soared, amassing an impressive 1.5 million views on YouTube and 5.7 million plays on Spotify. Ceechynaa, originally from South London and formerly known as China Milkies during her stint in the adult entertainment industry, recently celebrated her birthday. To mark the occasion, she unveiled the official remix of her latest single featuring NLE Choppa.

Following the release, Ceechynaa sat down with British Vogue for an in-depth conversation about her chosen stage name, experiences in the adult entertainment industry, navigating life as an independent artist, and much more.

Supported by the previously released singles “No Bars,” “Sideways,” “Okay,” and the “Okay (Remix)” featuring Jeezy, the project features 17 tracks with additional contributions from DJ Khaled, Stunna Girl, and Clip.

City Cinderella serves as a follow-up to City Girls’ last studio album, Raw. The mixtape was also accompanied by a documentary showcasing JT’s process of creating the mixtape.

“People work on their albums for a year; albums are just different. So City Cinderella is not my first album, being that I made this project so damn fast,” the Miami rapper told PAPER. “I had to create this project throughout the tour and moving around, so I didn’t have time to really nurture and doctor it. This is just something that I’m putting out with my pure instincts.”
