As the Toronto rapper continues to tease Certified Lover Boy, Drake holds fans over with the release of Scary Hours 2.

Serving as the sequel to the 2018-project, Scary Hours, which featured the top-charting single “God’s Plan,” as well as “Diplomatic Immunity,” Drake returns with three tracks with contributions from Rick Ross on “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” and Lil Baby on “Wants and Needs.”

Alongside the release of Scary Hours 2, Drake premiered a brand new video for “What’s Next.” Directed by Theo Skudra, Drake takes over Toronto, heading to the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, aquarium and rides an empty subway before being joined by his OVO squadron, Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and OVO Niko, at the top of the CN Tower.

Before the release of the project, Drake returned to OVO Sound Radio via SiriusXM, to speak on the delay of Certified Lover Boy, which was pushed back as Drake continues to recover from knee surgery: “I’m just grateful to be back on my feet. I went through a little bit of a tough stretch with an injury and I’m back in tip-top form,” he said. “CLB is currently being cheffed in every way possible…I’m back in the studio with 40 tough. I’m just really excited about the music that we’re making and I feel like I’ve locked into a zone where I’m really trying to execute on a project that’s fulfilling for my soul.”

Drake joined Sirius XM in 2019 after his deal was up with Apple Music.

Though there is no definite release date of Certified Lover Boy, Drake reports “it’s in a pot and it’s coming soon.”
