Last Friday, Megan Thee Stallion released her debut album, Good News.

On the opening track of the project, “Shots Fired,” Thee Stallion addressed the July 12 shooting that involved Tory Lanez and now ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole, which left her injured. “Who you takin’ shots at, goofy-ass bitch?/Watchin’ me succeed from your knees, suckin’ dick/I know you want attention from the n****s that I get/I’m a steak, you a side plate, shrimp, stay in your place,” she said about Nicole.

Nicole, who has stayed quiet throughout the whole media frenzy about the shooting, has decided to drop a freestyle sampling Tupac’s 1996-single, “Hit Em Up” responding to Thee Stallion’s “Shots Fired.”

“Couldn’t control your little feelings/Look what dick is costing you/It was all good yeah about a week ago/Shout out Bobby Shmurda but this bitch is really tweaking tho/If I was the one with the gun you woulda heard about a murder/Said her back was turned but the girl know who really hurt her,” she raps.

Former City Girls member JT has released her debut solo mixtape, City Cinderella.

Supported by the previously released singles “No Bars,” “Sideways,” “Okay,” and the “Okay (Remix)” featuring Jeezy, the project features 17 tracks with additional contributions from DJ Khaled, Stunna Girl, and Clip.

City Cinderella serves as a follow-up to City Girls’ last studio album, Raw. The mixtape was also accompanied by a documentary showcasing JT’s process of creating the mixtape.

“People work on their albums for a year; albums are just different. So City Cinderella is not my first album, being that I made this project so damn fast,” the Miami rapper told PAPER. “I had to create this project throughout the tour and moving around, so I didn’t have time to really nurture and doctor it. This is just something that I’m putting out with my pure instincts.”
