It’s been a long road for Lil Wayne, who filed a lawsuit against Birdman.

Birdman, who would not release Lil Wayne from Cash Money Records nor release his long-awaited Carter V LP after several delays – has been in a lawsuit with the NOLA rapper since 2015 for a slew of reasons including the delay of his album, his role in Drake and Nicki Minaj’s career, production credits, breach of contract with Cash Money Records and withheld advances totaling up to $8 million.

Lil Wayne sued Cash Money Records for 50 million, however, according to court documents obtained by The Blast, Wayne and Birdman reached a settlement where Wayne has walked away with well over $10 million.
