New Music: Ella Mai – ‘Not Another Love Song’
It’s been two years since the release of Ella Mai‘s major self-titled debut which spawned the hit-record, “Boo’d Up.”
Returning to the music scene, the 10 Summers-songstress has released a brand new single titled, ‘Not Another Love Song.’ Over the production of Boi-1da, Jahaan Sweet and The Rascals, Mai makes room for new energy in her love life as she questions whether or not she made the right decision to let go of her relationship.
“I think we’ve all been in a place of trying to navigate the feeling of, ‘Am I in love? Am I not in love?’ If I say it too soon, will I mess things up? Or just, do I really want to admit that I’m in love?,” Mai told BET. “I sat down with one of my favorite writers who I wrote “Trip” with, Varren Wade, and we were just talking. … We were like, “This is special.” So I’m really excited about it.”
