Rihanna Performs ‘Lift Me Up’ at 2023 Oscars

After providing an electrifying performance during the SuperBowl Halftime last month, Rihanna returns to our screen performing her Black Panther: Wakanda Forever inspired record, “Lift Me Up” which was nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th annual Oscars .

Backed by an orchestra, Rihanna delivered a heart felt performance of the record that was written in tribute to late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman.

During her interview with British Vogue, Rihanna gave an update on her long-awaited album stating: “I want it to be this year. … Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”

Halle Bailey, professionally known as Halle, has joined forces with producer Dem Jointz for the release of her new single, “Because I Love You,” under Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records.

“‘Because I Love You’ is a song for anyone who has experienced deep love,” Halle explains. “It’s an anthem that captures the intense passion and euphoria you feel with that special person.”



Co-written with RAYE, the accompanying visual stars Halle alongside Rap Sh!t actor RJ Cyler. In the video, Cyler’s character struggles with infidelity, failing to realize that in every woman he cheats with, he’s searching for Halle.

“The video delves into the vulnerability that love can bring,” Halle shares. “I hope people connect with the song and think of the person they love most.”

“Because I Love You” follows Halle’s March single, “In Your Hands,” which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart. It also reached No. 9 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart and No. 14 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

Belfast rapper Jordan Adetunji has tapped on Kehlani for the official remix of his viral song named after the artist.

Over the production Li and Villa Beatz, Kehlani is matching Adetunji’s energy and is looking for someone to match their fly. “I like a b***h that match my energy, act like she into me / Tell the world you mine and you not what these b****es been to me / It’s plenty of fishes in the sea, I need me the biggest freak,” they sing.

Releasing the track on June 24, the sound has amassed close to 1 million posts on TikTok and eventually caught the attention of Kehlani. “Working with Kehlani has been a great experience because I’ve been able to see her process, how she sings, how she places things, and how she says her words,” said Adetunji. “Even just her translating what I said on my song to her verse was just amazing; it was seamless.”
