TeaMarrr Releases Her Debut Album 'You Should Prolly Sit Down For This' miixtapechiick

TeaMarrr has finally released debut album, ‘You Should Prolly Sit Down For This,’ marking a significant milestone in her musical journey. The album, released through Issa Rae’s Raedio imprint under Def Jam, comprises of 13 tracks, building on the momentum of previously released singles “Stunt Double,” “PutItInACoffin,” “Black Is Blue,” and “LA LA Land.”

Following her well-received 2020 project, ‘Before I Spill Myself,’ which featured collaborations with notable artists such as SiR, D Smoke, and Rapsody, TeaMarrr continues to showcase her versatility and artistic growth. Accompanying her album release is a visually stunning album video, providing fans with an immersive journey into the world she has crafted.

Describing the album’s theme, TeaMarrr shares, “This album is about the church girl from the East Coast who takes a wild turn in the wild wild west and ends up lost in the belly of the beast. It’s a musical map guiding her way back.” Her music, she adds, is “for your ears, but the natural fruit kind,” suggesting a rich and organic sonic experience.

In the statement, TeaMarrr expresses her desire for fans to connect with her music, stating, ““I want [my fans] to feel seen and want to come see me live one day so I can share the light that God gave me to shine.”

Earlier this year, Skilla Baby released his 16-track project, “The Coldest,” via Geffen, featuring collaborations with Polo G, Flo Milli, Moneybagg Yo, G Herbo, DaBaby, Rob49, Mozzy, NoCap, Jeremih, and Tay B.

The Detroit native has now returned with the official deluxe version, which includes additional tracks such as “Soulja Slimm” featuring Rob49, “Bobby Trap on The River,” and “Body Bangin’,” among others. The deluxe edition also features contributions from Bossman DLow, Baby Money, and Southside.

“I took my time to put this project together… Sometimes, I feel like people try to place me in a box. The pressure of being a new artist, being successful, staying disciplined, and still clocking into the studio is very strenuous but fun at the same time,” Skilla shared during the album’s initial press release. “As an artist, I’m known as the ‘girl’s guy,’ but I’ll never forget I come from the streets. As a real person, I feel so many emotions: mad, sad, happy, anxious, etc. I say that to say sorry for the wait, but I wanted to put everything I feel into one project. Grab your coats…,” he continued.

The deluxe version of “The Coldest” follows Skilla Baby’s joint tour with Rob49, “Vultures Eat The Most Tour.”

Mustard Releases New Album ‘Faith Of A Mustard Seed’  miixtapechiick

It’s been ten years since Mustard released his debut album, “10 Summers.” Now, after producing Kendrick Lamar‘s chart-topping hit “Not Like Us,” which spent two non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Mustard returns with his fourth studio album, “Faith Of A Mustard Seed.”

The 14-track album features an impressive lineup, including Kirk Franklin, Lil Yachty, BlueBucksClan, 42 Dugg, Vince Staples, ScHoolboy Q, Quavo, and Rob49. The title, “Faith Of A Mustard Seed,” was inspired by the late Nipsey Hussle.

In an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Mustard reminisced about a conversation with Nipsey regarding his 2019 project, “Perfect Ten,” saying, “And [Nipsey] was like, ‘Well before it’s all said and done, you gotta do Faith Of A Mustard Seed.’”
