Tory Lanez Addresses Megan Thee Stallion Shooting on New Album ‘DAYSTAR’
Tory Lanez has decided to break his silence on a 17-track album titled, DAYSTAR.
Lanez has initially started 2020 on a high note. Between Quarantine Radio via Instagram Live and being one of the first to do a virtual concert via Youtube Music, it seemed like the Toronto native had finally cracked the code to survive the music business during a pandemic.
However, when news surfaced that Lanez had allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion, he had become public enemy number one.
Megan Thee Stallion did confirm that it was Lanez who shot her in the foot and that his team had been planting false stories about her in the media, however, Lanez had stayed silent through it all. That is until Thursday evening (Sept. 24), the Chixtape curator got on Twitter to announce that he would be finally sharing his side of the story.
Tory Lanez on Twitter: “To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST . / Twitter”
To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST .
To much dismay by the public, Lanez dropped a brand new album titled, DAYSTAR.
Over 17 tracks, Lanez addresses the public about allegations brought against him, and more specifically, the shooting with Megan Thee Stallion on the opening track of the project titled, “‘Money Over Fallouts.”
“Girl, you had the nerve to write that statement on the affidavit / Knowin’ I ain’t do it but I’m comin’ at my truest / Tryna keep this shit 200 with you,” he spits. “Don’t forget you was my bitch / I held it down and kept it real / I would never paint no fake picture of you just for some mills.”
Lanez also denies shooting Megan in the foot:
“How the f**k you get shot in your foot? Don’t hit no bones and tendons / How the f**k your team is tryna paint me as some whole menace?” he raps. “I just lost like $10 million dollars because this cold business / But I got like 10 million followers that gon’ roll with me … I don’t give a damn if shawty know Jigga.”
