Drake Hides 'Iceman' Release Date Inside a Block of Ice in Downtown Toronto miixtapechiick

Drake gave his fans some work to do on Monday, April 20. He took to Instagram Stories to post a clip of himself measuring a block of ice, and followed it hours later with a Google Maps pin and the caption “Release Date Inside. 81 BOND STREET DOWNTOWN TORONTO.” The coordinates place the structure near Bond Street and Dundas Street East in downtown Toronto, by St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica.

Fans who make the trip will have to wait it out. Reports confirmed that people are not allowed to touch the structure for safety reasons, meaning the date stays frozen until the ice melts on its own.

The stunt is the latest move in the rollout for his forthcoming album, Iceman.

Cardi B Closes 'Little Miss Drama Tour' With Missy Elliott Surprise and $70 Million Gross miixtapechiick

Cardi B brought the ‘Little Miss Drama Tour‘ to a close Saturday night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, ending a 35-date run that grossed over $70 million and sold more than 453,000 tickets. Live Nation presented her with two plaques to mark the achievement, which stands as the highest-grossing and most-attended tour leg in history for a female rapper.

Earlier in the day, Cardi told fans on her Instagram Channel that closing night felt like the last day of school. “Happy for the summer but going to miss my friends,” she said. The mood shifted shortly after. As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Cardi went live from inside the arena saying she would not perform after a dispute with arena employees. She took to X before showtime to signal the situation had resolved. “When you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it… because not everyone will endure your arrogance in silence. Treat others exactly like you demand to be treated. Atlanta… I’ll see you soon,” she wrote.

Shamar opened the show with “Clock Dat” before Cardi took the stage, and Missy Elliott came out as the surprise guest performer during the set. Cardi addressed the earlier dispute directly from the stage. “Next time, b****, I’m having my concert in the parking lot. I’m tired of y’all playing with me. This your f****** second time. I still f*** with the Atlanta Hawks though.”

Cardi presented Missy with the Vanguard Award at the 2019 MTV VMAs and sampled her 1996 track “She’s a Bitch” on her March 2024 single “Like What.” Usher was also present, with Cardi thanking him for the use of his tour photographer Kevin Wong. Usher’s wife Jennifer Goicoechea, Senior Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, was also in attendance.

Cardi took an emotional final bow on her first arena tour, behind a comeback seven years in the making. She gave birth to her fourth child in November 2024, and there were doubts the tour would happen at all. It did, and it made history.
