Yesterday, Syd released a new single called “CYBAH” — Could You Break A Heart. The singer poses some important questions to her prospective girlfriend before making a commitment.
“If I ever make you mine, need to know if you’re the type Do me wrong or do me right Guess you never really know Gotta wait, see how it goes”
R&B singer Lucky Daye joins her on this record.
“Promise me you’ll always keep my heart in a safe place”
Syd also released a music video for ‘CYBAH’ In the video, her soon-to-be girlfriend is put in the hot seat while Syd examines her in a lab. The concept certainly captures the way that we scrutinize prospective partners. We’ve all been left jaded by failed relationships. Could you imagine if the solution was as simple as putting on a lab coat and asking our fine specimen if they are capable of breaking our hearts?
In a recent Instagram post, Syd finally announced the release of her sophomore studio album which is titled ‘Broken Hearts Club.‘ It is set for release on April 8th.
‘CYBAH’ marks the fifth single off her album including ‘Fast Car,’ ‘Right Track’ (with Smino), ‘Getting Late,’ and ‘Missing Out.’ Her album is set to have 13 tracks.
