#MassMondays: SliccBae, Wave Capone, BTL FLEE, Clark D x Guyclaude

Yes I know, it’s been a while. But, it wouldn’t be me if I weren’t fashionably late. This #MASSMONDAYS will feature the latest from artists I’ve been listening to these last few months. No write-ups, just vibes. Check out who I’ve been listening to below.

SliccBae ft.Borirock – BabyRock

Discovering who she was during a Sir Clark D (now known as Clark D) show at Black Market Nubian over the summer, I was sooooo excited to stream music from SliccBae when I got home. Who other to collaborate with than BoriRock on her first official video, “BabyRock.”

Wave Capone – Trench Poetry

Earlier this month, Wave Capone released his brand new mixtape, Misunderstood. Y’all know my kind of music is pain music and Wave literally lets it all go on “Trench Poetry” which is more than likely why the record serves as the closing track on Misunderstood. The project features 12 tracks with a lone feature from $hayBand$.

BTL Flee – 4 A.M

With his project Life of A Bandit out now, BTL Flee returns with the official video to his latest offering, “4 A.M.” The record serves as a follow-up to his March release, “Pour Up Liquor.”

Clark D x Guyclaude – A Family Affair

Ahead of Thanksgiving, Clark D and Guyclaude unleashed their project, A Family Affair. Giving us 11 tracks, the two brothers tapped on the services of Seefour, Tamera King, Miranda Rae, Dos, Michael Christmas and Echezona. Released under their Finally Famous imprint, stream the collaborative project below.

New Music: Chelley Marie is ‘Ice’ Cold!

Boston’s very own — Chelley Marie (500 degrees), is back with another single! Make sure your bass is fully boosted because she’s here to remind you that she’s the hot girl dripped in all things ‘Ice‘ cold. With some chains you could see shining from afar, you already know there’s always a pair of wandering eyes on her.

‘Long hair ass fat, they want to hit this
bad b-tch on they wish list like it’s Christmas
you ain’t talking bout no f-cking money gotta dismiss
chain glistening, they see the ice from a distance’

She’s definitely one to be invested in but treads lightly: the thin lines between admiration and jealousy are not that hard for her to detect! Chelley issues a warning out to those who’ve been a little heavy-handed with her name. In short, whatever you think is tea, you can bet that she’ll bring back something scorching hot.

‘Acting shady but I made you hoes confident
Hating on me is just boosting my confidence

You really can’t outdo the do-er!

This appears to be Chelley’s first track of the year following her 2021 releases called ‘Myself‘ and ‘Phone Tag.’ Check out the music video for ‘Myself’ below:

Hopefully, she has some more tricks up her sleeve!

Stream ‘Ice’ below!

We Saw Mariah the Scientist at Big Night Live

Mariah The Scientist

On Tuesday, we attended Mariah the Scientist‘s ‘The Experimental Tour‘ stop at Big Night Live in Boston.

Just a day after it was announced that Young Thug and YSL were named in a 56-count indictment, the Atlanta songstress came out to her Ry Ry World album cut, “Revenge” dawned in a “Free Thugger” shirt. In front of a sold-out crowd, Mariah seemed a little down while performing the record but began warming up to the crowd as time went on. She also waved and interacted with fans numerous times which made the experience a lot more personal and special.

Mariah performed a 30-minute set that ended up being extended to 45 once fans looked at her crazy for saying she was almost done. She performed our personal favorites, “Brain,” “R.I.P.” and “Spread Thin,” just to name a few, and also dedicated her record “2 You” to Thugger himself.

We were a little sad to hear she canceled the Meet & Greet as we’ve been fans since the release of her “To Die For” EP, but it was a great concert, nonetheless. She’s improved a lot vocally and has much more of a stage presence this year than at previous shows.

Check out our quick compilation of the concert below and be sure to purchase a ticket to one of her shows if you can!
