Cash Rari & Eway Nef Arrested on Gun Charges
On Wednesday (Feb. 24), rappers Cash Rari, born Raequan Mason, and Eway Nef, born Damare Mason, were reportedly arrested after a traffic stop in Dorchester.
According to BPDNews, the two artists were pulled over after an infraction. When officers approached the vehicle, Rari was allegedly seen attempting to conceal an item under his arm. It was later identified that the “Slimes” rapper was trying to conceal a bag containing “two partially loaded magazines and numerous loose rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.”
Officers asked Rari and Nef to step out of the vehicle and upon further investigation, discovered two loaded .22 caliber handguns (a Glock and a Smith & Wesson) with obliterated serial numbers, inside the vehicle.
Rari and Nef were placed under arrest and are facing multiple charges including unlawful possession of a firearm (2 Counts), unlawful possession of ammunition (2 Counts) and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
The NNCHVLNT artists are expected to appear in Dorchester District Court.
